Legal Framework and Service Use
Use of this service may require the Customer to have specific additional hardware or software.
All terms governing the provision and use of this service are defined in the Agreement, which can be reviewed in full on the Agreement page of this website.
Nature of the Service
This service involves ECM tuning (adjustment) intended to enhance the performance characteristics of the Customer’s equipment.
Customer Responsibilities and Compliance
ECM tuning may alter the emission classification of the equipment. The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that their machinery meets all applicable technical inspections, certifications, and emissions regulations within their jurisdiction. AKZO Diesel Ltd does not accept liability for any certification issues, regulatory conflicts, or compliance incompatibilities that may arise as a result of the tuning.
Requirements for Online Programming
To complete remote programming, please ensure you have the following:
A laptop running Windows 10 or newer
A diagnostic interface such as a Nexiq USB‑Link
A connection to the truck or engine ECU (on‑machine or bench setup)
TeamViewer installed on your laptop Download at: www.teamviewer.com
After installing TeamViewer, open the program and provide your ID and password. Our technician will connect remotely and handle the entire process for you.
Warranty Coverage
The following situations qualify for warranty support:
Any DPF/SCR‑related diagnostic code that appears during normal vehicle operation, provided the issue is not caused by electrical failures in the DPF/SCR sensor circuits.
DPF/SCR warnings or messages displayed on the dashboard, excluding cases where the root cause is an electrical malfunction in the associated sensors.
Engine torque reduction triggered specifically by DPF/SCR fault codes.
Cases Not Covered by Warranty
The warranty does not apply in the following circumstances:
The ECU has been replaced and its serial number no longer matches the one recorded in our system at the time of programming.
The vehicle has undergone an OEM software update or recall campaign, resulting in factory software being detected.
Unauthorized access, tampering, or attempts to read, modify, or bypass the ECU software are identified, including mismatched digital fingerprints.
